The Mar Thoma Suvishesha Sevika Sanghom was inaugurated during the Maramon Convention in the year 1919. Every woman of the Mar Thoma Church over the age of 18 years is a member of the Sevika Sanghom. The motto of the Mar Thoma Sevika Sanghom is “Service and Evangelism in the life and mission of the Mar Thoma Church”.
STMTC Sevika Sanghom members participate in Bible study, Bible trivia quizzes and other activities during the monthly Women's Fellowship . The members also conduct bake sales throughout the year to raise funds for various charities including girls hostels in India and marriage aid for poor girls. In addition the members organize retreats each year. Regionally, intercessory prayer is held each month and retreats are held twice a year. National conference is held annually.
